Collection and tracking of personal information

We collect personally identifiable information such as names, email addresses, postal addresses and demographic information such as location. We also collect your IP address, browser type, domain name, access times and referring Website address. This information is collected both during registration on our site or in your account.

How is the collected information handled?

Codezhost stores all collected information until 30 days after cancellation of services. A user may, at any time, change, correct, modify or delete any personal information they may have provided to us by visiting the client area from within your account.

When you use Codezhost services we may also collect the following information (how we use it is described later in this document):

(a) Technical details about devices which you use to access Codezhost services, including: Internet and/or network connection (including your IP address); mobile device identifiers; your operating system, browser type or other software; your hardware details; or other technical details provided by your web browser. This is technical data about our users and their actions and patterns, which does not provide personal information;

(b) Details of your use of Codezhost services including, but not limited to: metrics information about when and how you use Codezhost services.

(c) Other information required in order to help you with any queries/support you may need assistance with via Codezhost customer support; and

(d) limited payment processing information, including as applicable your credit card number, name and email address (on a hashed/anonymised basis as applicable).

(e) any other information which you supply us via our services;

Use of Cookies and 3rd party

Cookies do not contain any personally identifiable information about you and therefore cannot be used to identify you personally. Cookies simply assist us in customizing our content according to your preferences.

We use the reCAPTCHA service provided by Google Inc. to protect your submissions via internet submission forms on our sites. This plugin checks if you are a person in order to prevent certain website functions from being (ab)used by spam bots (particularly comments). This plugin query included the sending of the IP address and possibly other data required by Google for the Google reCAPTCHA service. For this purpose your input will be communicated to and used by Google. However, your IP address is previously truncated by Google within members states of the European Union or in other states which are party to the agreement of the European Economic Area and is, as such, anonymized. Only in exceptional cases is a full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. On behalf of us, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our services. The IP address provided by reCAPTCHA from your browse shall not be merged with any other data from Google.

Third parties may be used to process a minimum amount of personal data on our behalf. The third party's in question are listed below along with what they are used for and links to their privacy policies. These third parties have been carefully chosen and it is our belief and understanding that all of them comply with current GDPR legislation.

Our site and the servers that make this site available worldwide are located in the United States. All matters relating to these sites are governed by the laws of the United States. Any information you provide will be transferred to the United States. By visiting our sites and submitting information, you authorize this transfer.
